Still Catching Up

Ok, so these I did about a year and a half ago.  Back then, I went to college for Fashion Design (found out it was way too much work than I bargained for, and switched programs the next year), and the teachers gave us some really interesting projects.  To be honest, I'm angry at myself for quitting, because I came up with more inspired designs with their help.  But anyway, this was one of the projects they had us do.  It's a line assignment, so we had to do different dress styles (A-Line, Bell, etc) and then use four different types of lines (vertical, horizontal, curved, and diagonal).  These pictures are what came out of it, although there are four extra ones, and I'm not sure if that's another dress style I forgot about or if I thought I lost some of them and re-drew different designs.  At any rate, here they are.  I know I colored some of them later (we weren't supposed to for the assignment), so I'll find them at some point and scan them in.  All of these are original, enjoy!

Playing Catchup - Fashion Drawings from 2010

Alright, so these are out of order, and probably from 2009-2010, somewhere in there.  This was when I first started drawing, so I stole all the poses from one of my fashion books.  Or almost all, anyway.  All of the ideas are original (if they resemble someone else's stuff, it was not intentional) except for usually the shoes, because although I love shoes to death, I can't come up with any good ones.  The one exception to this rule would be my Lolita outfit, which was (I think) my first 'fashion' drawing, and for a ShojoBeat contest that I forgot to enter, so the actual figure is a conglomeration of a few different manga characters and I think I stole the jacket and necklace from one of the Vampire Kisses manga.  But you gotta admit, Raven and Kit had good style.
